Air-Sea Interactions and Dynamical Coupled Modeling
The special session on Air-sea Interaction and Coupled Modeling will be a forum to present and discuss recent observational and modeling advances related to air-sea interaction, processes, feedbacks, coupled modeling, and coupled atmosphere-ocean data assimilation. The topics of interest range from long time series analyses and instantaneous estimates of air-sea fluxes from models and observations (both from in situ and remote sensors) to the study of the effects of air-sea parameterizations on ocean dynamics and coupled ocean-atmosphere simulations. Submissions of abstracts are encouraged that address air-ocean phenomena for all classes of wind speeds ranging from light and variable to very high wind speeds, and for scales ranging from the microscale to planetary scales.
