Autonomous and Langragian Platform and Sensor Systems (ALPS)

The session offers an opportunity to present new developments in mobile platform technologies - including drifters, floats, gliders, and AUVs - and in sensor technologies for measuring biological, chemical, and physical variables.  The session also will offer an opportunity to present scientific results obtained with these mobile sensing systems.  Presenters and others interested in autonomous sensing are invited to participate in an informal workshop to be held Friday, June 10, to explore strategies for advancing ocean-sensing capabilities on autonomous platforms.

Mary Jane Perry & Daniel Rudnick, session co-chairs.
