Oceanography to be included in Web of Science Journal Citation Reports
We are pleased to announce that Oceanography magazine has been selected for coverage in the Thomson Reuters Web of Science Journal Citation Reports and Science Citation Index Expanded, starting with Volume 20 (2007).

Jerlov Award Presented to Professor Talbot Waterman

Professor Talbot Waterman was presented with the Jerlov Award for achievements in the field of Ocean Optics in a ceremony October 9, 2008 during the XIX Ocean Optics Conference. During the award ceremony, Dr. Steven G. Ackleson (U.S. Office of Naval Research) stated that Professor Waterman’s “pioneering contributions to the body of knowledge regarding underwater polarization and polarotaxis and phototaxis in aquatic animals forms the foundation of our understanding of these phenomena and his work continues to inspire new generations of researchers.” For more information, go to the Jerlov Award page.
